I am at my keyboard with many thoughts in mind

Wishing for our land to be free and so ever kind

Thinking of peace in the hearts of all

Hoping it’s an order that is not so tall

Wanting love to override hate all around

Let’s all move to the beat of a more positive sound

I hear the clock on the wall ticking away

As I write down what I have to say

Love is needed in the hearts of mankind, for sure

Justice in our society would be an important cure

My heart is bleeding for what I see around me

Many people have sorrow as I write this plea

Our society has been turned upside down

It’s enough to knock you to the ground

Let’s pray that mankind’s priorities will get in order soon

Hoping all people will go towards a positive tune

I pray our land moves through the tunnel and into the light

With positive times ahead and a future that is bright!
